In the State of Indiana, the Qualified Medication Aide(QMA) works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse and can administer certain medications and perform specificprocedures that are defined within theQMAscope of practice.
Applicants must be 18 years of age. Must have a High school Diploma or GED. Have a current Indiana CNA license and in good standing on the ISDH Registry. Proof of 1,000 hours of CNA training experience. Applicants must have a personal interview with school personnel. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license or State ID. Applicants must pass a background check/screening applicants must have a current TB test &Health clearance signed by a Healthcare Provider.
