Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse with 1 year long term care experience.
In this course the student will master the basic skills needed to take care of the of residents in a State approved long-term, short-term care facility or hospital setting. Total training time is 36 hours of class and 80 hours of clinical rotations. The student will learn the fundamentals for caring for patients. Students will learn how to assist with the activities of everyday life, bathing, dressing, excercise movement, eating, safety measures, and more.
Must pass a pre-entry exam. Students must not have a felony in the past 5 years of enrollment. Student must be 17 years of age.
1 week prior to start of class.
