Qualifications of Instructors:

All ASPIN Instructors have a bachelor’s degree or 2 or more years practical experience as a Community Health Worker. All instructors have completed ASPIN’s industry-recognized Community Health Worker certification and must keep their certification active by earning 14 CEUs annually.

Program Description:

With the addition of an Opioid Impacted Family Support designation. students will better understand the specific needs of providing services to children whose parents are impacted by opioid use disorders (OUD)and other substance use disorders (SUD), and their family members who are in guardianship roles.

51.1504 Community Health Services/Liaison/Counseling A program that prepares individuals to serve as facilitators, advocates, and referral professionals linking health care and related social services with affected recipient communities. Includes instruction in public and community health, human and social services, health services administration, group counseling, health education, group advocacy, cross-cultural and multilingual communication, and applicable laws and policies.
