All faculty have a minimum of a Bachelors degree, certified in Community Health Work and taken the domestic violence training and passed the exam.
The Domestic Violence Certification provides students the opportunity to learn how to assist others who may be dealing with abuse. The course includes 6 modules that teach types of domestic violence, how to recognize warning signs, and the proper way to help others legally, emotionally, and physically. The modules included in the course are as follows: 1. Introduction to Domestic Violence 2. Types of Domestic Violence 3. System Responses to Domestic Violence 4. Domestic Violence and Substance Use Disorder 5. Youth Violence 6. Domestic Violence Prevention and Support
They must be over 18 years of age.
