Program Description:

The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Operator Certification program is an intensive progarm designed to prepare individuals for entry level CNC Operator jobs. Instruction covers et up and operation of CNC mill, manual Lathe and vertical milling machines, automated machining, blueprint reading, shop mathematics, machine tool theory, inspection, surface plate techniques and basic operation. Students will be involved in the machining of basic parts on manual machines and prep them for CNC operation. Students are able to sit for multiple NIMS certifications after successfully completing this course.

Includes instruction in CNC terminology, setup, programming, operations, and troubleshooting; blueprint reading; machining; lathe and mill operations; technical mathematics; computer literacy; CAD/CAM systems; shop and safety practices; equipment capabilities; and regulations and laws.
