Instructors are credentialed through NCCER. They must have experience as a craftworker at a journeyman or techicians level in order to be credentialed.
BY Construction Training is an 8 week program that trains individuals to be prepared and confident for a career in construction. Students learn through a variety of classroom learning and onsite performance verfications, which are taught through 8 modules: safety, hand and power tools, construction math, communications, construction drawings, and employability. Throughout class, construction industry employers visit class to speak about opportunities within the industry and share job information. Students that complete the classearn NCCER Core and OSHA-10 certifications, and will participate in a costumized job fair at the end of class.
Must demonstrate 8th competency in reading and math.
